Time Flys 2004 Pics

I was thinking this morning about all of the photos that were lost in the fire. So, I went on my snapfish account to see how far back I had saved there. 2004 was the earliest I had there. Family members have given me others from before but I still have to scan them and put them online that way... so I decided just to post a few from what I already have on the computer.

Birthday Weekend

Well, it's finally Friday!

Camren's team won 13-0 last night and Britt's team lost 18-3! But I have to say that I am super proud of the way Brittanie played! They were 18-0 in the last inning. Brittanie made a double play in the first half and then her team came up to bat and one run scored. Then her friend Taylor got on base and Brittanie hit another in the park home run! So, never give up hope when you are down! Winning isn't everything as long as you do your best!

I decided that my birthday present would be tickets to the EWomens Conference. Found a ticket last minute and I am super excited! I haven't been before but my mom has twice and she says it's awesome! It's going to be a little tricky getting the kids off to where they need to be before going to dinner and then the Civic Center with some wonderful ladies tonight, but I have a feeling that it will be worth every bit of it! :)

Robert is in Malaysia right now for probably another 4-5 weeks. They are 13 hours ahead of us. So he is going to work when I am going to bed and going to bed when I am getting up! So, every morning he waits up just a little while longer for me to wake so that we can talk or IM. Then when he gets up to go to work he does the same thing again. Well, he knows that today and tomorrow I will be at the Conference so he said to keep my messanger up on my phone so that he can send me sweet notes to tell me things like "you are the best women in teh world" "and the prettiest I might add". I love that about him! There is nothing like checking your phone to find a sweet little message from your hubby when you know he is 1/2 a world away and working his tail off for his family. That he takes the time to let me know he is thinking about me is very precious to me! I don't know what I did to deserve him, but I am sure glad we found each other! I don't know where I would be without him! "God blessed the broken road, that led me straight to you!"

Take me out to the ball game

This year is a little crazy for us for baseball season. Camren is playing at Cantonment and Brittanie is playing at Molino. Why? Because Cantonment is where we have played for the past 5 years and Camren has a great coach who really knows how to handle him (Camren needs someone who can "direct" him through the season so that he doesn't 1. take the team over or 2. get upset at silly stuff). But, Cantonment doesn't have Softball. Since I don't know what Britt's intentions are for next year, I didn't want to take Camren from where he is used to playing and his team mates. If Britt plays next year we will more than likely transition him to Molino too... I am just going to have to find out who the coaches are and make sure it will work personality wise!

I wasn't too sure how Brittanie would handle soft ball because she went from T-Ball to playing Minor League Baseball with the boys. Fortunately there was a coach at Cantonment with 2 daughters who played and he was willing to take her too since there was no other option for her if she wanted to play ball. She has made the transition nicely! I think I may have even made her a better player in the long run! We'll see how it goes! She is currently playing 2nd base, she's hit 2 in the park home runs so far (in one game) and she is very serious about her softball! At her last game the got a small hit, a walk on balls and another walk because the pitcher hit her with the ball! That was Monday this is Wednesday and you can still see a bruise the size of a softball on her thigh! She's one tough cookie! When they walked her on balls she was very upset! She came back to the dugout after scoring her run and informed me that I needed to go talk to the other pitcher and tell her "that she best be throwing me some strikes so I can hit! I don't walk!" LOL! I have no clue where their competitive edge comes from, they certainly didn't get their outspokeness from me! **wink, wink**

Camren is pitching and when he's not on the mound he's at short stop. He is doing a great job pitching! But, after about the 3rd inning he starts wearing out. We are working on other pitchers as relief for him but boy does he take it personal some nights when he gets pulled from the mound! I think we are over the being upset part now though. I explained to him that he can't be hard on himself when he holds a team at 0-4 and then once he leaves the mound the other team almost wins... He is just as important no matter where he plays! He's learning... I think! **sigh**

Here are the pics!

Good job!

Spring break review

We absolutely loved Spring Break! Robert was home until Thursday. We were hoping he would get to stay home at least through Easter, but it never seems to work that way for us. He NEVER gets to be home for the holidays! But, we are not complaining because God has blessed him with a great job with lots of promotions along the way. It allows me to fulfill my childhood dream of just being a mommy to my family! I know that was what I was made to do! Even as a small child, when people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would say "I am going to get married and have lots of kids and I am going to be a housewife!" My mom thought I would change my mind. She would laugh about it! Now that I am living that dream she finds it even more funny that I got what I asked for... good, bad and ugly! LOL!

Anyway, back to my original post! Robert got the boat running and we decided to take it out for the day... which turned into a camping trip. If you know me, then you know that I am not a "camper" per say. I am the one who can be found sleeping in the A/C, with running water... see??? We used to camp when I was little and I just didn't grow any passionate feelings for it except for distress at the thought of sleeping on the ground, showering with flip-flops on in a park bathroom, sweating while I am sleeping... the list could go on! When Robert and I finally decided that camping would be fun for our family we compromised with a camping trailer! That's more my speed! Don't get me wrong! I love nature, I love the woods, I love fishing, getting dirty and roasting marshmellows! There are many things in nature that the Lord has blessed us with that you can't experience without getting out there... but... He also blessed us with brilliant people who came up with nice modern aminities that I feel we should take advantage of! I wouldn't wants these ideas to go to waste! ;)

Needless to say, we did not plan this trip and we went by boat... so out came the tent and the blow up mattresses!  We were with Mike and Kristi (My aunt and uncle) and their 4 kids, plus 2 more friends of my children. So there were 11 kids from ages 3-13 and 4 adults. The bigger kids decided that due to the fact that "their may be bears out there", they should sleep on the boats. So the grown ups and 3 small children got the tent. This was a good sized tent! It has a queen sized mattress, a twin and a single/full. Robert and I took the single/full and would have been fine except that in the middle of the night our two precious bed hogs came and crammed in with us! LOL! I couldn't sleep because Hannah punched and kicked all night, we were using Ashleigh as our pillow for most of the night and I couldn't stop listening for the others on the boat. At one point I woke Robert up and made him go with me to check on the kids. He got a leg cramp crawling back into the tent! LOL... I know it's not funny, but it kinda is! The next morning we couldn't have gotten out of their fast enough and we made an agreement that we would never do that again! :) Oh, did I mention that Ashleigh and I had over 100 bug bites a piece from the biting gnats??

All in all it was a fun trip out and the kids really enjoyed it, we roasted hot dogs, hung out and played. But I think we were all 7 in agreement that we are just not the roughing it kinda crew! Here are some pics! Enjoy!

Easter Sunday

What a beautiful day! I went to sleep last night so excited for Easter to hurry up and come! I went to bed singing!

Lord I lift Your name on high,
Lord I love to sing Your praises!
I'm so glad You're in my life,
I'm so glad You came to save us!
You came from Heaven to earth to show the way!
From the earth to the cross, my debt to pay!
From the cross to the grave and from the grave to the sky,
Lord I lift Your name on high!

Had a blast at church with the Easter Egg hunt and Brother Brian's message. Yes, Jesus is the only thing that can quinch that deep down body thirst!

Here are some of the pics of our day at church and with the family!

Newbie

Okay... so this is the first time I have EVER tried to do this! From the looks of it I may have some issues! LOL! First of all I have been trying for an hour to get a pic of all of us on here and it keeps cutting out poor little Hannah! So, I settled for one of me and the love of my life instead!
I have now wasted an hour bopping back and forth from the computer to the dinner I am cooking. I guess I better go feed the wildlife before they take over.

Wish me luck on this endeavor! Any advice is appreciated!
